DAMA Day 2010 - Introduction to Master Data Management

Please mark your calendars for DAMA Day 2010, a one-day seminar on Tuesday, April 20th

We are welcoming well-known speaker and author David Loshin to present his popular seminar on Master Data Management.   If you are working on an MDM program or wondering how MDM can help your enterprise, you won't want to miss this event!

Introduction to Master Data Management

Master Data Management (MDM) has emerged as an enterprise program to support the creation of an information asset suitable for operational and analytic applications across the organization.  To exploit a master repository, organizations must define business concepts, identify corresponding data sets, and then integrate and make that data available across the enterprise. MDM helps to organize key business objects and govern the quality, use,and synchronization of these objects to achieve the organization’s business objectives.

Developing a mature MDM program requires preparing for technical, operational, and management challenges as MDM solutions evolve. The end-state MDM environment exists as an enterprise resource integrated with the enterprise application architecture through a collection of provided services.

This seminar introduces the components and capabilities needed to develop an MDM solution that can mature with enterprise applications.  The workshop will provide practical advice for business and technical leaders that are planning or in the process of implementing master data management.  The workshop introduces the key components, architectures, approaches to implementation, and advanced challenges of master data management.

Anyone participating in the planning, management or implementation of a master data management initiative will benefit greatly from participating in this workshop!

DAMA-PS members can attend this seminar for $195; non-member pricing is $245.  Special discounts are available for academic members - please make sure your academic membership is current when registering!
