Jeffrey (Jeff) A Johnson:  President
Jeff is a leader of innovative data solutions, with an emphasis on information management and process improvement.   He is certified in Data Science, Lean Six Sigma Process Improvement Methodology, and is a certified Scrum Master.   As a former President and CEO of a "big data" company, he is proficient in information quality best practices.

Jeff has 19 years data management experience, including Experian Information Solutions, DeepData, World Vision and Sila Solutions Group. He is a DAMA-PS member.  He has held several leadership roles including 9 years form President/CEO of DeepData (formerly i2i - Information to Intelligence); Consulting Lead at Sila Solutions Group; Project Management in various capacities and an Operations Director. He is interested in a DAMA board role since he is at a point in his career where he desires to share the information he has learned as well as be a member of an organization of like-minded individuals committed to expanding the data management practice.    Specifically, he is interested in the President role since it is a desire to lead the strategic direction of DAMA-PS with a team of committed members in order to proactively grow DAMA-PS presence in the Puget Sound area.   


ChaiJen To: Vice President of Operations


ChaiJen is a consultant on data warehousing, data architecture, and database development for Global 1000 companies and mid-size organizations. He has designed or helped design and implemented data warehouse projects with Big Data or in a SOA environment for cyber security, banking, telecommunication, retail, software, and manufacturing industries. ChaiJen has written over 1000 database objects and delivers quality works with data integrity for enterprise data management and business intelligence systems. He is a CDMP, CBIP, and is active in TDWI, IASA and Big Data events. 


Jay Gardner: Co-Vice President of Programs and Education


Jay has been involved with data management for over 20 years, and with DAMA-PS since 2006. He has worked in many different
database and systems integration roles. Starting out with geographic information systems and document management systems, moving on to finance and retail OLTP systems, then to data warehousing, OLAP and business intelligence, Jay passionately strives to maintain best practices in managing the underlying data. His current interests are Enterprise Business Intelligence, Big Data and advanced Data Visualization.


Luisa Recalcati: Co-Vice President of Programs and Education

Luisa Recalcati is a technology executive with proven success directing high profile programs. Experienced in Data Management and Enterprise Architecture, Web Application, CRM, Asset Reusability, transaction processing, E-commerce, and Advanced Metadata Repository. She has a consistent history of developing innovative solutions that enable business growth. She is experienced at leading top-performing teams in application and system integration, design, and development.

She joined Microsoft in 2007 and worked in the Microsoft IT department as an Enterprise & Data Architect. In this capacity, she leads the Integrated Data Management initiative, and gained a certification as Data Management Expert by the CMMI Institute. She authored the Architectural Approach portion of the DMM (Data Management Maturity Model)

Previous roles, included: Chief Data Architect for Washington Mutual, Chief Technology Officer for SmartContractor, an internet startup company in Seattle. Luisa began her career at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in Milan Italy, as a field engineer supporting real time and time sharing operating systems. She then relocated to the DEC European Technical Center in Sophia Antipolis (South of France) where she consulted on  large transaction processing and database applications for major European customers.

She holds a Diploma in Programming and Accounting, from “ Istituto Mose’ Bianchi “ in Monza  Milan Italy.


Patrick Edward Zeine: Co-Vice President of Finance


Patrick has 18+ years of IT experience and has been a Product Data Management specialist at Boeing for the last 4 years.

Patrick was CEO and founder of a business from 1997 – 2007 and has been a local member of DAMA PS for over a year.
He has been Vice Commander of the Sons of American Legion post 141.   He has been involved in several leadership positions in
several Fraternal Orders and am familiar with Roberts Rules of Order.  Patrick currently is a member in good standing of the 
Fraternal Order of Eagles (Freeland, WA.).  This would be his first board position on a board for a professional association.
Patrick is familiar with preparing income tax reports (IRS 990) for non-profit organizations, and can prepare an annual report.
He is looking to pursue his professional goals while still working for Boeing.  A Board Position would allow Patrick to be part of the strategic decision making of an organization.


Theron Jaquez: Co-Vice President of Finance

Theron Jaquez is a financial system analyst managing Oracle Hyperion (OLAP) at World Vision. Prior to joining WV in 2007, he held positions with Microsoft, Premera Blue Cross, United HealthCare, and served in the US Navy.  He came to WV with 10 years of experience in the actuarial field where he designed data warehouses, measured liabilities, and conducted ROI and provider profiling studies.

Theron uses his prior business experience and understanding of data systems to bridge the information gap (knowledge, comfort, delivery, etc.) between IT (data source) and the business (data consumer).  He holds a BA in math from Amherst College and an MBA from the University of Washington. 


Jean Nichols: Co-Vice President of Communications


Jean has 25+ working for local companies in IT with a specific emphasis on managing financial business systems.     A key focus of Jean’s role over the years has been planning, designing, developing, launching and maintaining efficient and effective financial system solutions that support organization business processes.   Additional emphasis and a very critical component in all financial systems that Jean has managed has been the data from how data gets input into the systems, the security and controls that get executed within the systems and the outputs that get generated through reporting and business intelligence solutions.   Jean has managed several data management projects related to Data Security / Compliance, Data Integrations, Document & Content Management, Business Intelligence & Metadata Management.   DAMA-PS since 2011 and she is looking to continue being involved.  She is a CBIP & CDMP.  


Michael Stillings: Co-Vice President of Communications


Mike has been working in Data Management and Analytics for 14 years and been a member of Puget Sound DAMA for five years. He has also developed engineering, database and web applications, consulted external and internal customers, taught classes and been a team, project and technical leader and mentor. He enjoys technical writing and other forms of disseminating information and knowledge. He has worked in the aerospace industry for 32 years. Mike has architected and designed the end-to-end process for taking in value-added data on one end and performing all the steps required to release cleansed and integrated data out the other end for data scientists and engineers. He has also facilitated Decision Support via Data Warehouse-based Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics products.


Dawn Chen: Co-Vice President of Membership


Dawn started her IT professional career in the Bellevue/Seattle area since 1998. She started as a Software Design Engineer, Web Database Developer, Middle Tier Application Developer, but later moved onto Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Analytics world - always combined with Data Management practice in her career. As a BI Architect with a curious mind, she loves to participate in professional events, learn from others, compare technology from different vendors and methodology, and be creative to change the impossible to possible. She reviews the engineering process as an art and enjoys the beauty of the different approach. Her current role is a Sr. BI Architect for Microsoft Consumer and Device Sales group through Launch consulting management services, where she works with large technology group to deliver BI Portfolio and implementation together as we-team. She is a CBIP, CDMP, and looking to serve and learn from DAMA-PS community.


Larry Liang: Co-Vice President of Membership


Larry Liang has been an active member in Puget Sound DAMA and in TDWI and Big Data events as well since 2013. Larry Liang has solid experience with all phases of data warehouse/business intelligence development lifecycle from gathering requirements to design, testing, implementation and support of data assets including data warehouse, real time database, and metadata. He earned master degree in Computer Science specializing in data mining and data warehousing in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.  He is a fully Certified IBM Cognos BI consultant for telcom, insurance, retail, and mortgage.



Uzma Khan: Co-Vice President Special Events


Uzma has over 20 years of experience in IT with 15+ years of experience working in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. She has proven ability to work with business leaders to create data architecture that provide metrics based on relevant and actionable data. Uzma is adept at developing reliable proof of concepts and clearly articulating recommendations to leadership. Uzma has been recognized by her peers and leadership for her technical expertise and ability to mentor others. Uzma also has specialized expertise in data analytics, validation and test with significant successes in cross-functional collaboration. Uzma’s knowledge of multiple databases, technologies, tools, software languages and environments along with her desire to remain in technical leadership roles within Data Warehousing and Analytics will make for an excellent addition to the DAMA-PS Board.



Benjamin Lemul Rogojan: Co-Vice President of Special Events


Ben started attending DAMA meetings in 2015 the same year he graduated with a degree in Information Systems from the University of Washington. In his final two years as an undergrad he worked as an instructor teaching JavaScript and coding principles to kids. He got his first corporate job at Providence Health and Services where he currently works developing new applications and analytical reports to help the finance and IS department. Prior to his role in technology Ben spent 6+ years in fine dining. This includes working as a cook at The Herb Farm and Café Juanita, as well as orchestrating a few pop-ups around Seattle. He enjoys having a diverse background in skill sets and continues to throw events and dinners whenever he can. Whether it be a close group of friends or for a party of 80.
