Shamnad is a Doctoral Researcher in Information Systems and has presented his work at multiple conferences including DAMA Day, ACM, and IEEE. He is an active mentor for industry professionals and academic graduates across multiple universities and professional associations. As President of DAMA Puget Sound, Shamnad is passionate about growing the chapter for data practitioners and building stronger data communities in the Puget Sound area. He previously served as Co-Vice President of Programs and Education before taking on the President role. |
Uzma has over 30+ years of experience in IT with 20+ years of experience working in Data Architecture, Data Management, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. She has proven ability to work with business leaders to create data architecture that provide insights based on relevant and actionable data. Uzma has been recognized by her peers in the industry for her technical expertise and ability to mentor others. She has presented at Enterprise Data World, Data Architecture Online and DAMA Day. She is an Associate Technical Fellow at Boeing, a Principle Software Architect for Boeing Global Services, and Acting CIO for Tasveer. She holds the following certifications: CDP, CDMP, CBIP & CITA-F. She is passionate about growing the DAMA-PS chapter for fellow data enthusiasts and building alliances with other data groups in the Puget Sound area. Derrick Priebe is currently a lead Product Manager at Boeing for all Offer to Cash processes supporting multiple complex SAP implementations across the company. He has a wide variety of experience supporting both physical implementations in the telecommunications industry as well as software implementations in the aerospace industry. Areas of experience include Project Management, Finance, Systems and Data Architecture, as well as Software Engineering. Paul has nearly 20 years of progressively responsible strategic planning, leadership, and data management experience at a Fortune 40 company (Wells Fargo), with an emphasis on executing transformational change with cross-functional teams in innovative ways. Paul is a thought leader that provides consulting services to executives and he's energized by difficult problems. He helped establish and implement an enterprise-wide multiyear Data Strategy and co-wrote the risk reporting guidance for Board Effectiveness within Wells Fargo's Data Management Procedures. Paul is currently a Senior Lead Data Management Analyst within Enterprise Data Governance. Mahesh Moturu has 20+ years of experience in managing teams developing data management technologies and implementing data solutions for healthcare, government, telecommunications and energy industries. Currently, as VP of Product Development and Technical Service at WhamTech, he leads the development of their Smart Data Fabric software. Mahesh also advises companies on strategy, products and technologies. He just founded Knovantage Technologies to pursue emerging opportunities in AI and data. Earlier in his career, he helped develop a multi-platform database engine that was acquired by Seagate Technologies. Later, at WholeWeb, he ran IT operations for their text and image search engines. Mahesh holds an MS in Computer Science from University of Texas at Arlington, and an MBA (Valedictorian) from SMU Cox School of Business. Michael Brackett | Michael Brackett has over 50 years of experience in data management and is recognized for developing innovative concepts in application design and integrated data resource management. He is the founder of Data Resource Design and Remodeling and has served as a Consulting Data Architect specializing in integrated data resources. A charter and active member of DAMA Puget Sound, Brackett was instrumental in the formation of DAMA National and DAMA International, where he held several leadership roles—including President and founding President of the DAMA International Foundation, which helped establish data resource management as a formal profession. He served as Production Editor of the DAMA-DMBOK and received DAMA International’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. A passionate educator, he has taught at the University of Washington, Washington State University, and The Evergreen State College, and is listed in Who’s Who in the West, Who’s Who in Education, and International Who’s Who. Brackett actively shares his expertise and has authored ten books on application design, data design, and common data architecture. |
Bill Inmon is a pioneering figure in the field of data warehousing, known for defining its foundational architecture and principles. He authored Building the Data Warehouse, which is widely recognized as the seminal text on the subject. Alongside Arnie Barnett, he organized the first Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) Conference, which became a cornerstone of the data warehousing and business intelligence community. He introduced the widely accepted definition of a data warehouse as a subject-oriented, integrated, nonvolatile, and time-variant collection of data. Over his career, he has published more than 1,000 articles and several landmark books, including DW 2.0. Eva Smith | Eva Smith is an accomplished IT leader with more than a decade of experience in higher education and over 20 years in business roles spanning systems engineering, programming, project leadership, and IT management. Eva is the current CIO of Edmonds College. Additionally, she served as a tenured faculty member in Computer Information Systems at Edmonds College and taught as an adjunct instructor at Central Washington University. Eva holds a Master of Science in Information Management from the University of Washington and maintains certifications as a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) and Certified Computing Professional (CCP). She has contributed her leadership to the boards of the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP) and the Data Management Association (DAMA).
