Board of Directors Openings for 2019-2020
Please see below for responsibilities of each position:
1) CO-Vice President of Communications
- Participates in Board of Directors meetings.
- Maintains the organization’s website presence.
- Responsible for:
- Advertisement of events.
- Coordination of online and postal operations.
- Coordination of online enhancements and site design.
- Maintains Presentation archives
2) CO-VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE
- Participates in Board of Directors meetings
- Manages the organization finances
- Maintains financial records
- Diligently uses organization’s monetary resources
- Notifies President of any financial health risks
- Makes payment on organization’s financial obligations
- Prepares and files income tax reports (IRS 990), Non-profit Corporation Annual report, and other filings that may be required
- Gather all monies collected at any events and deposit them
- Prepares Financial Statements for every Executive Board meeting
- Keeps financial transactions and records up-to-date in QuickBooks
- Assists with annual budget creation
3) CO-Vice President of Special Events
- Participates in Board of Directors meetings.
- Develops annual plan for special events.
- Works with the Vice President of Programs and Education in executing special events.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Communications, Programs and Education VP’s as well as other Board members as needed on special event plans.
- Responsible for speaker(s), venue(s), sponsor(s), and communication.
4) CO-Vice President of Programs and Education

Participates in Board of Directors meetings.

Works with the other board members and members at large to understand programming needs.

Surveys topics of interest from DAMA-PS members annually.

Arranges for speakers to present at DAMA-PS chapter meetings.

Coordinates the venue and event scheduling.

Maintains Event Planning information and communication with the Executive Board.

Coordinates timely advertising of DAMA-PS meetings with the VP of Communication and VP of Marketing.

Collects confirmation on speaker engagements, including speaker biography and topic content.

Conducts communications with speakers including logistics speaker fees and event follow-up.

Communicate the agreed financial obligations for Program Services to the VP of Financial Services.
5) CO-Vice President of MEMBERSHIP
- Participates in Board of Directors meetings.
- Maintains membership records and promotes membership.
- Collection of dues and fees for membership and activities.
- Works with VP of Marketing for Membership Marketing.
- Responsible for signing in registrations for events or ensuring there is someone to do so
- Send out reminders for lapsed memberships.
- Make changes/updates to membership accounts.
