Enterprise Database and Code Patterns

Please join us for a presentation
from our very own DAMA-Puget Sound VP Operations Joe Oates!

Most organizations are interested in developing software more quickly, with higher quality, with reduced total ownership costs.   Sound familiar?  To allow yourself the most flexibility going forward, one excellent solution is to use database design patterns.  It is much less expensive and time consuming to redesign and re-implement a block of code than it is to redesign your entire database structure.   Also, it would have much less impact to critical business systems!

A database design pattern is a solution to a problem that occurs routinely. A really good pattern will work for all cases all the time!

This presentation discusses a small number of design patterns that can have an enormous positive impact on schedules and costs. Additionally, it shows the only practical way to have a “single view” of a customer for an enterprise.

The presentation will also help you in the following areas:

  • How to think beyond the present problem
  • Thinking beyond a single system implementation
  • How to build reusable data structures
Join us for an informative evening!
