The Master Data Integrity Organization (MDIO) was formed, to coordinate information across the vast organization. While some organizations have focused on the more technical and governance aspects of master data management, Starbucks has taken a more comprehensive approach, including end to end process re-engineering, data quality audits, becoming embedded in key business activities, and ensuring strong data stewardship, especially at the executive level.
