The Role of Newly Empowered Users in Business Intelligence, Collaboration and CRM - Donald Farmer

Please join us for a presentation from Donald Farmer, QlikView Product Advocate!

For Donald Farmer, the age of the "end-user" is over as business users become more empowered, more technologically skilled, more demanding and more knowledgeable.

Donald will explore trends in both hardware and software where users are perhaps more in control than even their IT teams.

In particular, Donald will look at the role of newly empowered users in Business Intelligence, Collaboration, and CRM. The presentation will be vendor-neutral with examples from many data management disciplines and industry verticals. Along the way, you will gain new insights to one of the most disruptive trends in our industry today.

Donald Farmer is the QlikView Product Advocate, working with customers and partners to establish QlikView as the leading solution for Business Discovery. Donald has over twenty years’ experience in analytic and data management. In that time he has worked as a consultant, in start-ups and as a leader of Microsoft’s BI product teams. He is a speaker at many international events on business intelligence, data integration and data management, blogger, and author of several books. In addition to his career in Business Intelligence, Donald has worked in fields as diverse as fish-farming and archaeology. He is also a guest professor at South-Western University in Chongqing, China, and advises on several academic boards. He lives near Seattle in an experimental woodland house, with his wife Alison, an artist.
