Pierre Bonnet, Vice President Viet Nam Engineering at TIBCO

Pierre Bonnet is the Vice President Vietnam Engineering for TIBCO Software. An IT veteran with over 20 years of experience in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and data management, Pierre has managed various complex Information Systems/Information Technology (IS/IT) projects for different companies across Europe and Asia. He is an adept and versatile leader with a keen focus on reshaping IS/IT in a progressive way, through sustainable IT architecture.

Pierre has been deeply involved in the management of IT teams, as well as writing, presenting and defending of reports to decision-makers within IT departments and business executives to initiate Service-oriented architecture (SOA), Data Governance and Master Data Management (MDM) programs.

Prior to TIBCO Software, Pierre co-founded Orchestra Networks in 2000 and served as Chief Operating Officer for the company’s headquarters in Paris, France as well as Chief Executive Officer of its local subsidiary in Hanoi, Vietnam. During this time, he led the growth of Orchestra Networks from a start-up to a recognized worldwide software vendor, specializing in data management - and IS/IT projects in particular. The company was acquired by TIBCO Software in 2018.

Pierre is also the author of two books entitled, “Enterprise Data Governance - Reference & Master Data Management - Semantic modeling” and “Sustainable IT Architecture.” This work was published in 2009. He also launched the "Smart-up" initiative as a legacy to clarify the future of ICT.

Pierre graduated from The National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) at Lyon and is currently based in Vietnam.

    More about Pierre's presentation:

Problem: Like the world’s response to the COVID pandemic, the need to accelerate digital capabilities leaves less time to develop your digital strategy. You don’t have enough experts to unite a strategic point of view and action plan; There is too much divergence and uncertainty about how to transition. Then, you need to get the business moving toward "digital thinking," because digital leaders threaten to disrupt your market and industry, and no business is immune.

Solution: To limit the risks of digital chaos, you must first control your data. Each data point must be coded for understanding by a human. This is the starting point that helps everyone understand and be reassured. To reduce small data errors that hold you back — partial dematerialization; inconsistent file, domain, column names; etc. — you must also see your information from the customer's point of view. Doing so lets you respond quickly, inform decision-making, and provide an excellent customer experience.

Innovation: Competitors will change rapidly, and you will have to regularly evaluate and improve your digital position. Data not connected and governed to uphold consistency will lose its value and your trust in it. But to increase your agility, each data point coded, understood, and accessible can be put to use wherever and whenever needed. If these capabilities are not part of your data management, your digitization will not be sustainable.

Inessa Gerber, Director of Project Management at Denodo

Inessa is part of the Denodo’s Product Management Team and works closely with customers and prospects to understand their projects and requirements. With over 18 years of experience in the Data Integration, Data Quality, and Master Data Management space, she is able to visualize an enterprise-level solution spanning different project, and often different products. Data Management and architecture of enterprise level solutions was always her passion, which leads her to driving product innovations.   During her career, she was also a Solutions Architect and Project Manager, which enables her to understand different layers of the project requirements, data ownership,  and organizational dynamics. Originally from Russia, she has great passion for mathematics and physics, as well as traveling the world and unique experiences.

Alain Martens, Senior Solutions Engineer at TIBCO

Alain designs innovative data and analytics solutions for companies that want to make faster and better data driven business decisions.

John Parent, Regional Practice Manager, Insights and Data at Capgemini

John is an Information Management professional with 20+ years of experience in the art and science of responsibly transforming data into useable and trusted knowledge.  His advanced knowledge and operational experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality Management and other IM practices have helped companies within the Healthcare, High Tech, Aerospace, Marketing and Financial Services transform and mature their IM capabilities.

John holds a Masters Degree in Economics and is DAMA, TWDI, and ITIL certified. In addition to his professional experience John is also the current President of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Data Management Association (DAMA).

    More about John's presentation:

Digital transformation continues to be a struggle for the US health care system.  The majority of US health care providers still rely on paper and fax machines for data capture and transfers despite the existence of more secure digital alternatives.

In his presentation, John will explore current efforts to make progress along the digital front in the health care system.  Especially as it relates to data interoperability.

A critical question that John will investigate is whether the current efforts are sufficient to achieve the needed changes or do we need to go beyond reforms that do not address the underlying foundations of the current system.

Scott Taylor, The Data Whisperer, Principal Consultant, Meta Consulting

Scott Taylor, The Data Whisperer, has helped countless companies by enlightening business executives to the strategic value of proper data management. He focuses on business alignment and the “strategic WHY” rather than system implementation and the “technical HOW.” As Principal Consultant for Meta Consulting he helps Enterprises and Tech Brands tell their data story.

An avid business evangelist and original thinker, he continually shares his passion for the strategic value of master data through industry events, public speaking opportunities, blogs, videos, whitepapers, podcasts, cartoons, puppets shows and all forms of thought leadership. His new book – TELLING YOUR DATA STORY: Data Storytelling for Data Management is available now.

He lives in Bridgeport, CT where he often kayaks in Black Rock harbor. He can also juggle pins and blow a square bubble.

    More about Scott's presentation:

Data Leaders must create a compelling narrative to evangelize their Data Management programs and secure long-term support from enterprise stakeholders and business leadership. Data management leaders who seek to improve soft skills and execute simple storytelling techniques will be more likely to gain a rightful place for their initiatives on their organization's strategic plan.
    • Why you need a Data Management narrative vs other Data Storytelling and Data Literacy Efforts
    • Why Data Management is Macro-Trend agnostic
